The guided tour of Forte di Bard is an itinerary through history: from a simple tower guarding the territory to its transformation into an imposing, state-of-the-art military fortress.
The visit includes the most characteristic areas: the underground “Stairway of Time” with access from Opera Ferdinando, the ancient Gun Embrasures, the Prisons, and the Parade Ground.
Forte di Bard is part of the Network of Fortified Sites which, on this occasion, promotes the nationwide initiative “Open Fortresses”, involving about ten fortified sites across Italy.
